Medical Oxygen Generator
Medical Oxygen Generator
A medical oxygen generator produces oxygen inside the facility from ambient air, reducing dependence on external deliveries and providing a continuous source for the medical pipeline within a system that always includes a reserve source.

What is it?
The plant includes air compressors, dryers and filters, an oxygen separation unit, a buffer vessel, pressure regulation and continuous purity monitoring, together with a cylinder or liquid oxygen reserve. Plant sizing follows the design load, simultaneous flow rates and the approved project specification.
Features
- On-site production that reduces delivery dependence
- Continuous purity monitoring of the produced gas
- Integrated air treatment upstream of separation
- Buffer storage to cover peak demand
- Mandatory reserve source for continuity of supply
- Alarms wired to the medical gas monitoring panel
Applications
- Hospitals and medical complexes
- Operating theatres and intensive care units
- Emergency and inpatient departments
- Dialysis centres
- Day-surgery centres and clinics
- Expansion and refurbishment projects in healthcare facilities

Frequently asked questions
Does a generator remove the need for a reserve source?
No. A reserve source (cylinders or liquid oxygen) remains necessary to maintain supply during maintenance, faults or peak demand.
Have a project or an existing facility that needs an engineering review?
